The Repeated Return of Hellsing

Not too long ago, I was blogging about the end of Hellsing and had missed blogging about the episodes. However, Fate had given me a second chance to do so. Arts Central had launched another round of Hellsing after the Anime series, Godannar ended. I guess they ran out of Anime series to show...But never mind, Hellsing is an Anime series which I wouldn't mind watching over and over again.

Like all other "mature" Anime series, the first episode's incredibly gory. Barely halfway through the episode, you see Alucard ripping his hand through a female ghoul's chest. And towards the end, Alucard gets blown apart by numerous gunshots. but of course, all the blood retracts back and forms into him once again. And who could forget the scene where Alucard shoots through Celes's lung to hit the vampire who's holding her hostage?


I especially liked the scenery with the blood-red background and yellow moon...It looks mismatched, but it's cool. The part where Alucard turns Celes into a vampire was oddly touching. It's almost like they're flirting. Go Alucard X Celes!
The music was great too. It has an eerie feel to it, but it still reminds one of jazzy downtown beats...
